ECO WORK

I've been exploring what a sustainable way of life might be like in real life for years, with Brighton Permaculture Trust, to volunteering in the very early days at Lammas Eco Village, to working with the Sector39 Permaculture Partnership, to living and working at transition farm Treflach and much much more. My main project over the last few years has been Perth Community Farm, which a few of us kept going very happily during lockdown. A lot of these experiences have gone into the "Monkey Wrench Kid", my new novel, a satirical, bawdy, sci-fi, fantasy, new-age, surreal romp of a story about how humankind might come through the dystopian collapse of almost everything into a sustainable future. BROWSE THE MONKEY WRENCH KID HERE.

I've also been running courses in woodwork which have been very popular, up at the farm and in town at the Bike Station. More courses planned on gardening, treecare, mushroom growing, foraging... you name it... CHECK OUT NATURAL SOLUTIONS - IAN WATT AND FRIENDS for details on what we have on the go at the moment. There's also links to posts about some of the amazing projects and inspiring people I've met since 2006 when I started Ian's Eco Blog, all over the UK and in Portugal.
